Well, hi there! My name is Théa, and I really like words. I like to read them, I like to say them, and I especially like to cobble them together into sentences and paragraphs. At this point, I don’t have time to write anything longer than a blog post, so I here I am, writing for you.

Welcome to The Little Bird.

Do you know what else I like? My family. There are four of us, plus two cats. My husband, Mitch, is tall, dark and handsome, and he’s the kind of Papa who marches in the door after a long hard day at work, lays down on the floor and lets our oldest daughter belly flop on him and proceed to treat him like a live jungle gym. He’s an elder at our church, which keeps him plenty busy, but he’s also into bikes, heist movies and this beef stew that I made a few weeks ago. (I mean, wow. He really liked that stuff.)

Lydia is our oldest daughter, age two, and she’s a quirky kid: bubbly and chatty and always halfway into some imagined world which usually involves me, whether I’m aware of it or not. She enjoys hot chocolate, Curious George, and bossing us around.

Our youngest is Baby Sarah, a round little seven-month-old who is happiest in the loudest room of the house, and who finds Lydia’s every move riveting. (Who doesn’t? Lydia keeps us all highly entertained.) Besides Lydia, Sarah’s favorite things are milk, snuggling and holding lengthy conversations, consisting of “goo” and some serious bubble-blowing, with any of us that will sit and listen.

The cats are Gunner (who has a thing for feet and freshly-shampooed hair) and Capt. Jack Sparrow, a girl cat who has a thing, a serious thing, for food. That kitty can pack it away.

So, that’s us. What about you? Leave me a line or two in the comments and introduce yourself. I’d love to get to know you.
